Update: An official Jungle trailer has been released online. The two-minute trailer gives a much clearer look at the show’s overarching storyline, as well as how its musical, urban, and cyberpunk sensibilities influenced the tone, vibe, and aesthetics of the script.

An original story follows.
The first trailer for Prime Video’s Jungle landed on the internet – and based on what we’ve seen, it has the potential to be another surprise of Amazon Studios’ blockbuster series.
In a press release, Amazon Studios also revealed the release date of an extremely innovative music series. The UK-produced Prime Video program will launch worldwide on Amazon streaming service Friday, September 30 – four weeks after the arrival of the next potentially massive Prime Video series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. If these two TV shows are the big hits Amazon hopes they will be, it could be a very productive September and October for the company’s streamer.

Understandably, there is very little to come from the trailer above – from a story perspective, anyway. However, in a press release, Amazon Studios has provided a brief overview of what the series will entail.
“Jungle follows the combined lives of several strangers, each struggling with their own struggle, viewed through the prism of British rap and drill music, and offers a perspective on an often invisible world, ”reads the plot synopsis. “Often misunderstood, it’s a world where one law rules everything: only the strongest will survive. As alien worlds begin to crumble around them, they realize that every action, no matter how small, has consequences.
This may not sound very creative – after all, there are a lot of other music-based drama that has hit streaming platforms and traditional TV networks before.
However, during the Prime Video Presents event in the UK in May, TechRadar took a look at the aesthetics and atmosphere of Jungle. Suffice it to say, the ingenious nature of its storytelling structure combined with the strikingly remarkable cinematography, emotional and powerful themes and visual flair made us excited about this movie. With very few TV shows like Jungle, we suspect it will cause waves when it comes to Prime Video later this year.
We just took a look at Jungle, a non-linear, hybrid rap / grime music and drama series set in neo-futuristic London. And without a hyperbolic sound, it looks and sounds like nothing we’ve seen before. Keep your eyes peeled for this one as it could be a huge pic.twitter.com/9dRhJmoKvzMay 19, 2022
Jungle was created and produced by newcomers Junior Okola and Chas Appeti, the creative minds behind production company Nothing Lost. Some of the UK rap and drill scene’s most famous names will also appear on the show, including Big Narstie, Tinie Tempah, M24, Jaykae and many more.
Amazon has already had several big streaming victories in 2022, including Season 3 of The Boys, Reacher and The Terminal List. The Corporation therefore hopes that other original Prime Video shows, including The Rings of Power and Jungle, as well as Prime Videos like Harry Styles starring My Policeman, will help turn a great year into a great one.
