Although Cain insisted that the decision was not “to [him]both directors seem very keen on the idea of a “graphical remaster” of the fan-favorite classic.
Originally released in 2011, Fallout: New Vegas tells the story of a courier’s journey through the post-apocalyptic wilderness of the Mojave Desert. In an immersive open world, the player negotiates a tense political conflict between several different factions as the remnants of human civilization fight for control of New Vegas – one of the few major cities to survive the nuclear war between China and the United States.
In the same interview The outer worlds production director Eric DeMilt talked about why New Vegas resonates so strongly with fans: “when it came out it had stability issues, [but] that overcame those and now people can come back to this game because these characters and stories are just rich and people want to be there.”
A kick to the head
The excitement of Kain and Bojarski can be seen on the back of the recently announced news The Outer Worlds: Walk’s Choice Editioncomprehensive and refined repackaging The outer worlds along with improved graphics, gameplay improvements, and a complete list of DLC for players.
If taken into account The outer worlds he is something of a spiritual successor New Vegas, it’s only natural that the discussion would turn to Obsidian’s earlier work as well. While nothing has been confirmed so far, it’s exciting to think that a New Vegas a remaster may be on the cards in the future.
New Vegas offered a distinctive RPG experience that has stayed with me to this day. However, my attempts to return to the raw and absurd world of Mojave were often hampered by the game’s outdated graphics. As I made my way towards New Vegas in the game’s opening act, despite the compelling writing and engrossing scenery, I found the incessant mud in the game overwhelming. Despite my best efforts, I just couldn’t keep up with my game.
As much as I hate to admit it, I’ve obviously been spoiled by modern titles. It would be great to see New Vegas get a much needed new coat of paint. It would be a real treat for a classic title as well-reviewed as New Vegas receive the well-deserved love and attention in the form of a visual remaster.
